Founded in 1982 under the name TRC Systems, the original product line, known as “RIC”, was developed to fill the need for a more efficient method of servicing automatic sprinkler systems. The company changed its name to Remote Control Technology (RCT) in 1988. In 2005 Remote Control separated its irrigation division, known as TRC Irrigation Remotes. The two companies were reunited in 2017 under the RCT umbrella.
