Remote Control Technology, Inc. Makes Wireless Pump Control Easy
Contractors that Utilize Wireless Technology For Pump Control Spend Less Time Laying Wire and More Time Making Money.
Imagine that the electrical wires connecting a customer's well to their tank goes bad. What would you do? Typically, you would find where the problem occurred, dig up the wire and repair it. However, this can be very time consuming. Barbara Huba of the Indian Ladder Estates in New York found herself in this exact situation. Rather than going through “what could be extremely expensive repairs,” she installed a Remote Control Technology Wireless Switch System which was "very easy and fast to do." She added that, "Our water was up and running in no time. We now feel a lot more secure with this system.”
Remote Control Technology’s Wireless Switch Systems are only a few of the several products in their line of Simple Wireless Solutions. However, these are the systems of choice in the Groundwater Industry when repairing old wire or installing new wire becomes time consuming and expensive. Contractors can give themselves a competitive advantage when bidding jobs using the Wireless Switch Systems by dramatically reducing both installation time and costs. In some instances the cost of these systems is less than the cost of the hard wire itself, which is traditionally a low-margin item. When noting that there are labor costs to put in wire as well, the Wireless Switch System offers significant savings in both time and money. You can get on to the next job and increase your overall profits.
Scott Novak of the Yuba County Water Agency was already familiar with wireless control, but experienced a different problem. “A simple automated control was necessary. Unfortunately, there was a reservoir and a ridge line in between the pump and the tank which prevented both landline and conventional RF line-of-sight control,” he recalled. Since Remote Control Technology’s Wireless Switch Systems use a 27 MHz radio frequency and does not require direct line-of-sight like most other control and telemetry prducts, Scott did not have to use a complicated network of repeaters to get the job done. “I installed the system in one day, connecting the existing float switch on the water tank to one input of the transmitter. The corresponding output on the receiver was connected to the existing auxiliary control relay on the pump. Power was applied and the system worked flawlessly… No license was required for the transmitter, so it could be installed right out of the box without waiting for authorization.”
Scott and Barbara found themselves in situations where acting traditionally would have cost them a great deal of time and money. Each was able to solve their problem with a simple system that allowed them to wirelessly automate their pump/tank applications without the need for time consuming and expensive repairs. Remote Control Technology’s customer service based approach and easy-to-install equipment made it a seamless process. Next time your customer’s wire goes bad or you are in a situation where installing new wire is too expensive or time-consuming, try a Wireless Switch System. You can get the job done quickly and move on to the next one.
